The Chevy Camaro and Corvette accounted for one out of every three sports cars sold in the USA in 2011.
The Camaro holds 37% of the sports-car market while the Corvette accounts for 28% in the luxury-sports-car segment… more than doubling its closest competitor, the Porsche 911!
“With the addition of the Camaro ZL1, there are only a handful of brands in the world with two cars that can match the performance, technology, and excitement of Corvette and Camaro,” said General Motors North America President Mark Reuss. “Unlike many competitors’ performance cars, the Corvette ZR1 and Camaro ZL1 are appropriate for both daily drivers and track use from the factory – with standard coolers for brakes and drivetrain.”
“And we challenge any company to bring two cars to compete with the Corvette ZR1 and Camaro ZL1, dollar for dollar,” Reuss said. “They will discover what enthusiasts already know – that Chevrolet Camaro and Corvette are the world’s best performance cars for the money.”
If you’d like to find out why the Chevy Camaro and Corvette are America’s favorite performance brand, stop by the dealership… we’re here to help.
The 2012 Cruze Eco offers 42 hwy mpg… and sacrifices nothing. That is part of the reason why U.S. News and World Report named the 2012 Cruze “Best Compact Car for the Money.” They also noted the roomy cabin and upscale feel for the price. The Cruze has already received the coveted “2012 Top Safety Pick” rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and a 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score for safety from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The available 1.4L turbocharged engine is designed for fuel efficiency without compromising performance. It delivers 138 horsepower and accelerates with authority. The Chevy Cruze takes on tight corners with rack-mounted electric power steering and a race-proven Z-link rear suspension on LT, LTZ and Eco automatic models. And at 42 MPG highway, Cruze Eco offers the best highway fuel efficiency of any gas engine in America.
“Our customers want the perfect value, a perfect balance. I want them to feel like they’re in a much more expensive vehicle than they thought they could own…” Crystal Windham, Director of Design.
And, did you know every Chevy Cruze sold in the United States comes out of Lordstown Ohio?
So to recap, the Chevy Cruze has the best highway fuel efficiency of any gas engine in America, it’s made in America, and it’s a multi-award winner… test drive anyone?

With the GM Military Discount, Active Duty members, Reserves and Retirees, including their spouses, of the U.S. Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, National Guard and Coast Guard can save big on most 2012 and remaining 2011 Chevrolet vehicles (exceptions are the Camaro ZL1 & Volt).
Chevrolet has always played a role in respecting our Nations Active Duty members and Vets. As well Chevrolet donated all the proceeds from January’s sale of a special Military Tribute Camaro to the achilles Freedon Team of Wounded Veterans. It was sold for $175,000.
“We at Chevrolet want to do all we can to show our gratitude to the men and women serving in our armed forces, those who come home with life-changing injuries, like Cpl. Gaertner, and our fallen heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country,” said Chris Perry, vice president, Chevrolet Global Marketing and Strategy.
If you have any questions about the Military Discount, please visit us at Sport Chevrolet, or send us an email, we owe you our best.
In a recent survey I read online (conducted by Ipsos Public Affairs on behalf of CarMax) it stated that “Forty-five percent of Americans who have purchased a vehicle say that quality has the greatest impact on their car buying decision, followed by price and safety, in that order.” We completely agree at Sport Chevrolet.
As one of the largest-selling brands in the industry, Chevrolet’s early adoption of landmark technologies fundamentally changed the way people view the brand. Recently the Chevrolet Volt was voted ‘Car of the Year’ by both Motor Trend and Automobile. ‘Given the level of technology packed into the Volt — and, frankly, the quality of the car carrying it all — the price is fair’ says Chuck Squatriglia from Autopia.
Quality and Chevrolet go hand in hand, it always has, yesterday, today and tomorrow too!
So, if quality is as important to you as it is to us, then stop by Sport Chevrolet and take a Chevrolet out for a test drive today!
Sport Automotive is one of the largest Corvette dealers in the NE region and as such carries a large selection of new and pre-owned Corvettes. But how do you choose which one is right for you? Let us give you some information to help with that decision.
Three engines are available in the Corvette. The Grand Sport uses a 6.2L LS3 V-8 engine, at 430hp. If that isn’t enough power for you, then you might prefer the Z06 with a 7.0L LS7 V-8 engine, at 505hp. More? How about the ZR1 with it’s supercharged 6.2L LS9 V-8 engine with an exhilarating 638hp behind it.
The Grand Sport comes with a shiftable automatic transmission or six-speed manual, but the Z06 & ZR1 are both six-speed manual only. If you aren’t comfortable with a manual transmission don’t feel pressured to buy one, because Corvettes automatic is like no other with its slick shifts and sport programming.
Not only are we one of the largest Corvette dealers in the NE region, but we also have Frank Steiner. Frank is our factory trained certified Corvette technician and he is the best in the business. We will take care of you and your Corvette from beginning to end, and remember… we will deliver new and previously owned Corvettes to anywhere in the USA.
But the wins don’t stop there… the IIHS also named the 2012 Chevrolet Volt a Top Safety Pick for 2012!
A few months ago Consumer Reports conducted a survey asking new car owners how likely they were to purchase the same vehicle again. In the case of the Chevy Volt, 93% said they would “definitely” buy the car again.
Yes, there was an issue with fires occurring in Chevy Volts that had been crashed as part of safety testing, but The U.S. government ended its safety investigation into the Chevrolet Volt on Friday, after concluding that the Volt and other electric cars don’t pose a greater fire risk than gasoline-powered cars. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and GM know of no fires occurring in real-world crashes. NHTSA said Friday that it “continues to believe that electric vehicles show great promise as a safe and fuel-efficient option,” and based on available data, electric cars don’t appear to be riskier than gas-powered ones.
So if you want to drive a two-time top safety pick, a car that’s been named “Car of the Year” twice, if you want to be happy with the car you drive, then stop by Sport Chevrolet… we have the 2012 Chevrolet Volt in stock.
First off, NAIAS is short for the North American International Auto Show, and yesterday, its doors opened in Detroit!
Chevrolet rolled out a few exciting concept vehicles while showcasing the 2013 Chevy Sonic RS… let’s take a look.
The Chevrolet concept vehicles are developed from market research and in-depth discussions with young consumers throughout the country and are then engineered by a team of young designers and they include a rear-wheel-drive boxy coupe representing “functional muscle” and a front-wheel-drive sporty coupe described as “affordable exotic.”
First, let’s have a look at the “functional muscle” car: The Chevrolet Code 130R Concept. It features beefy fender flares, a tuned-up direct injection 1.4L turbocharge 4-cylinder engine producing 150hp and 148lbs/torque. It also has the eAssist electric assist system that supplements engine power, performs regenerative braking and allows for engine auto start/stop. The wheels are 20″, the engine is 6-speed automatic or manual and Chevrolet thinks it should get 40 mpg on the hwy.

Second is the “affordable exotic” car: The Chevrolet Tru 140S Concept. It’s a sleek three-door hatchback, front-wheel-drive sporty coupe with an engine producing 150hp and the eAssist electric assist system also in the Code 130R. The wheels are 21″, the engine is 6-speed automatic or manual and Chevrolet thinks it should get 40 mpg on the hwy as well.

By reaching out to the Millennial Generation, consisting of individuals who are already proving to radically move and shake the world, Chevy hopes to bring more new and exciting ideas into future vehicle designs.
“To capture the hearts of the [Millennial Generation], Chevy is getting back to the core of our brand: affordability, fun, optimism, and staying forward looking. But we aren’t doing it alone,” said McFarland. “We are harnessing the power of the voice of this group and co-creating the future.”
Last, but certainly not least, was the unveil of the 2013 Chevy Sonic RS. The all-new Sonic RS has a flat-bottom steering wheel, aluminum pedals, and a new shift knob for cars ordered with the six-speed manual transmission. With 1.4L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, producing 130hp and 148lbs of torque. The wheels are 17” and it has a unique spoiler among other features unique to the RS model.
